The Hurricane Blew

by M. Sakran

The hurricane blew up along the coast,
and came on shore like a concrete block,
and pushed its way through man and post,
the hurricane blew up along the coast.

In front of the rubble, she stood like a ghost,
in her nightgown and one white sock,
the hurricane blew up along the coast,
and came on shore like a concrete block.

M. SAKRAN is the author of a collection of poetry entitled First Try and has also written a number items for magazines and websites.  M. Sakran’s poetry related blog can be found at msakran.wordpress.com.
